Sunrise Shipping Co.,Ltd.(“Sunrise”) is a ship operation company registered in Britain in 2004.It was jointly funded by Dalian Sunrise Shipping Company(“Dalian Sunrise”) and one British private equity. As a China-based company, Dalian Sunrise was founded in 1995 and has always been engaging in international carriage of good by sea. After establishing the Sunrise (U.K.) in 2004,Dalian Sunrise was reformed as Dalian KML int’l Shipping Co.,Ltd to set its focus in ship investment and successively purchased two bulk carriers namely MV. K.K. Good Faith and MV. C.K Glory in the name of COAG-KML.
Since the beginning, the Sunrise has been striving for growing into a professional ship operator in dry bulk shipping field. As of October 2007, it had put six vessels(from handy to handymax) with total deadweight up to 162K metric tons under control by way of long period charter. With other control methods including TCT and Voyage charter, its handled cargo volume will amount to 2.0 million metric tons in 2007. There are two business divisions in the company, i.e. Breakbulk liner dept. and Tramper dept. and their principal market is in the Asian basin but has been expanded and is now increasing its presence in Atlantic/trans-Pacific area. The Liner dept. launched Far East-Persian Gulf breakbulk liner service from Aug. 2006.It has played a main role on the steel product shipment in this line since then.
Over the years, the Sunrise persist ”O(jiān)ur Word is Our Bond” as the company’s principle and dedicated in providing the clients competitive ocean freight rate and on-time delivery. Of course it also pays back with fruitful success. Till today, the Sunrise has come to be regarded as an experienced and knowledgeable ship operator, especially in Far East-Persian Gulf liner service. The company has established a spotless reputation among Charterers and Owners alike for fair dealing and prompt settlement of accounts.
