從創校之初的16個教學班，42名教師，523名學生，至今多個校區，多種形式辦學，學校從無到有，從小到大，沐浴著新課程改革的春風健步前行。

求索創新，精神本色。國際化辦學、配方制課程、差異性教學、特色化建構、創新教育、生命德育以及“上不封頂、下要保底”的評價機制等改革實驗，賦予了辦學理念——“創適合孩子發展的教育”的無限張力。兩項教改實驗成果在國內產生影響，“一千零一夜家庭實驗室計劃”得到總理的認可，“整理課”得到國家教育部、中國教育報刊社等領導的關注和引領，并多次在《人民教育》、《中國教育報》做專版特別報道。

對話輻射是實驗小學的光榮使命。培訓各地教師，支援西部教育，發行籀園文叢，譜寫了“實驗小學是大家的”的宏偉篇章。
