從創(chuàng)校之初的16個教學(xué)班，42名教師，523名學(xué)生，至今多個校區(qū)，多種形式辦學(xué)，學(xué)校從無到有，從小到大，沐浴著新課程改革的春風(fēng)健步前行。
求索創(chuàng)新，精神本色。國際化辦學(xué)、配方制課程、差異性教學(xué)、特色化建構(gòu)、創(chuàng)新教育、生命德育以及“上不封頂、下要保底”的評價機制等改革實驗，賦予了辦學(xué)理念——“創(chuàng)適合孩子發(fā)展的教育”的無限張力。兩項教改實驗成果在國內(nèi)產(chǎn)生影響，“一千零一夜家庭實驗室計劃”得到總理的認(rèn)可，“整理課”得到國家教育部、中國教育報刊社等領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的關(guān)注和引領(lǐng)，并多次在《人民教育》、《中國教育報》做專版特別報道。
對話輻射是實驗小學(xué)的光榮使命。培訓(xùn)各地教師，支援西部教育，發(fā)行籀園文叢，譜寫了“實驗小學(xué)是大家的”的宏偉篇章。
